NEW STATEWIDE BRANDING INITIATIVE
As part of the Governor’s effort to better market and unify Virginia’s workforce development system’s vast network of state and local partners, a new statewide branding initiative is well underway. Once fully implemented by September, the new statewide brand “Virginia Career Works” will assist with raising awareness about the amazing system of programs and services, available in every community, to help connect businesses and job-seekers.
Locally, this means the Greater Peninsula will soon be retiring its’ venerable local brand Peninsula Worklink in favor of Virginia Career Works – Greater Peninsula Region – Hampton Center. Along with this move, other collateral branding and local name affiliations will be made to achieve maximum system alignment. While we are extremely proud of the work accomplished under the banner of Peninsula Worklink, we welcome and fully embrace the adoption of the new statewide brand with its regional/local attributions.
