Career Skills Development

The Peninsula Council for Workforce Development is dedicated to helping career seekers develop critical job skills and knowledge that increase personal competitiveness and increase the success of local employers.  In the near future, the Council will be adding a Career Skills Learning System that allows job seekers to enroll in developmental courses right here on this web site.  Some of these courses will bring you up to speed on important communication skills while others may increase your knowledge of critical elements of teamwork, accountability, supervisory skills and much more.

The Career Skills Learning System utilizes textual, audio and visual learning channels to improve a student's knowledge and skills.  By utilizing all three message delivery channels, the user will find the channel that makes learning the most meaningful and effective.  Area Businesses can take advantage of the Career Skills Learning System to develop and deliver their own specialized one-time or recurrent training programs.  These courses can be delivered anywhere an Internet connection and speakers are available.  With the help of our Training Courseware Developers, you can develop courses that maintain or enhance your competitive position.
