Thomas Nelson Community College provides Leadership and Management Training that enhances Career Growth


Building a profitable company takes a well managed workforce - and that requires the skilled efforts of dedicated, professional supervisors and managers.  Construction company executives now have a resource to augment their internal management development systems.  The Peninsula Construction Academy introduces the Leadership Pathway. This program has been designed by construction executives and management education professionals at Thomas Nelson Community College to improve leadership, motivational, supervisory, contract management, project management and organizational skills among managers at all levels of a construction company. 

Construction Leadership Career Studies Certificate
Coursework focuses on motivation techniques, safety management, communication skills and methods, and decision making in the construction industry (10 credit hours)

Construction Supervision Career Studies Certificate
Coursework includes studies in planning and scheduling, cost management, loss control, and contract documents (9 credit hours)

Construction Management Career Studies Certificate
Coursework includes productivity improvement, site planning, estimating and bidding, contractor dynamics (under development) (13 credit hours)
