Business & Education Partnership
for Education Partners

Our close relationships with Peninsula Businesses allows the Council to help our classroom teachers and administrators find resources that individual school districts cannot provide for themselves. The Business & Education Partnership was formed to provide an exchange for human and material resources that bring the real-world into the classroom. A program like this can make all the difference for area students searching for their identity and a vocation that they enjoy.

Focus On Educator's Needs

In some cases, area business owners, non-profit executives and government officials have provided the Council Staff with volunteer services or have agreed to donate needed equipment and materials to allow you to better demonstrate the real-world challenges as you undertake your classroom instruction.

The Council has provided area educators with a means to request volunteers from industry or specialized equipment and materials.  The Council has established a program with local school districts to establish a Business & Education Partnership Liaison to help coordinate requests and donations.  After checking with the Liaison about the appropriateness of the request, teachers may enter their requests for both types of resources.  Your Liaision can also get more specific information on individual requests and donations. Best of all, your requests and business donations are monitored by the Council Staff.
