An Educator's job has never been easy.  In this day and age, educators are tasked to build curriculums around No Child Left Behind and SOL testing requirements.  With many of the discretionary topics that made the education experience "industry-focused" falling by the wayside, our educators need the assistance of the business community to supply the "real world" perspective.  That takes the business communities' commitment to enhance the learning experience with their real-world knowledge and experience.  It  means that businesses must help by providing the material resources needed to effectively simulate the real-world environment as well.

The Council solicits the voluntary participation of the business community through a number of programs and an information exchange on this site.  Work Based Training, Community Volunteer and Educational Enrichment opportnunities provide area students with the real world perspective they need as they enter the workforce. We urge area educators to utilize this site to seek and request both the input from area professionals and the specialized equipment needed to bring the real world into the classroom or take the classroom out to the real world.  The Business & Education Partnership was established to facilitate the exchange of intellectual and physical resources between industry and education leaders.
